Senior's Advice to Incoming Freshmen

Our second video news package that our team covered took more of a feature approach to it. With the assignment aimed to be focused around Senior students, our group came up with the idea of asking Seniors one piece of advice they would tell incoming freshman after their four years of experience at Roger Williams University.

Joanna and I posted up outside the library and other various places around campus tracking down seniors who were willing to be videotaped.  Most of the seniors we got in front of the camera were great and had some good ideas about what to tell the incoming freshman.  Our answers varied from humors responses to some real solid advice that freshman should follow. Although, even the humorous advice will still be very helpful to freshman so hopefully they will still adhere to the advice.

I was also responsible for writing the voice-over for this piece.  Which isn't saying much considering 90% of the video are budded SOTs (sound on tape) featuring the seniors advice to freshman.  But the opening and the last part of the video are what is referred to as the        voice-over (V/O).
